I only recently learned to code and have done a little bit of work on a couple of longer roguelikes, but I would really like to finish something, so I am entering the 7drl challenge to try and complete a game and get a bit of experience at finishing one!
@lchemist will be a short roguelike focusing on crafting and using potions. Each game the ingredients needed to craft each type of potion will be randomised and the player will need to experiment to be able to reliably craft what they need with the available materials. Additionally, most of the challenges in the game will require (or be made easier by) applying a potion in the correct way. For example, a potion of poison might grant poison immunity if swallowed, but allow you to poison a dangerous beast from afar if thrown.
